Visit Issyk-Kul
World Nomad Games · 31 Aug – 6 Sep 2026 · Issyk-Kul

We meet you, drive you, and host you like family on the lake.

The Games happen on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul — where our family runs a hotel in Cholpon-Ata. From your landing at Manas to your seat at the kok-boru field, one family handles the whole journey.

The Games trip, end to end

One family, from the airport to the field.

The opening is in Bishkek on 31 August; the competitions run at Cholpon-Ata and Kyrchyn Gorge on the northern shore through 6 September. Getting between them is the hard part — that's ours to solve.

1

We meet you at Manas Airport

You walk out of Bishkek's Manas International and we're there with your name on a sign. No taxi haggling in a language you don't speak, at an hour you didn't choose.

2

The drive to the lake — made easy

It's a 3–4 hour road from Bishkek to Issyk-Kul. We drive it in a comfortable vehicle, stop where the views are worth it, and tell you what you're looking at along the way.

3

You stay in our family hotel in Cholpon-Ata

Rooms on the northern shore sell out months ahead for the Games. Ours are held by our own family — right where the competitions happen, so you're never far from the action.

4

We take you to the Games each day

Kok-boru, eagle hunting, horseback archery, wrestling at Kyrchyn Gorge — we handle the daily runs to the venues and help you find your way around the grounds.

5

Between events, we show you the real lake

Both shores, hot springs, canyons, and quiet spots the tour buses miss. On your free afternoons we turn the trip into more than a sports event.

Our family hotel · Cholpon-Ata

A bed on the northern shore — the thing everyone else runs out of.

During the Games, accommodation in Cholpon-Ata is the scarcest thing on Issyk-Kul. Our hotel is run by our own relatives, in the town where the competitions are held. That means we can host you where others can only put you on a waiting list.

⚠️ Rooms for 31 Aug – 6 Sep are limited and fill fast. Message us early to hold a place.

One lake, two worlds

The northern and southern shores of Issyk-Kul.

Northern shore

Where the Games live

Cholpon-Ata and Kyrchyn Gorge — resorts, the hippodrome, petroglyphs, and the heart of the World Nomad Games. Lively, easy to reach, and home to our hotel.

Southern shore

Where the wild is

Skazka's red canyons, Jeti-Ögüz's rock formations, hot springs and the road toward Karakol. Quieter, dramatic, and worth a day of your trip.

We're not an agency. We're a family from the lake.

Issyk-Kul is home. We know which road is smooth, which viewpoint is worth the stop, and which cup of tea to offer after a long flight. When guests arrive for the Games from all over the world, our job is to make sure your week feels less like logistics and more like being looked after by people who live here.

The Games are 31 Aug – 6 Sep. Rooms go early.

Send one message with your arrival date and how many of you are coming. We'll reply with a plan and hold your room.
